HAPPY BIRTHDAY to  MARK HAMILL,
better known as Dorothy Hamill's little brother* and also one of the most iconic characters in Sci -Fi history; LUKE SKYWALKER
Hamill, who rose from little-known actor to icon with the 1977 release of "Star Wars," was born on September 25, 1951.
A little trivia for ya....
He did all his own stunts in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi
(1983) -- except two places: where "Luke Skywalker" jumps off the plank
into the Sarlaac, turns, and flips back onto the plank and on the Death
Star when Vader throws his saber at the supports of the catwalk.
He was originally cast as David on "Eight Is Enough" (1977), and asked to be released from his contract before Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
(1977) came out because he sensed the movie would be successful, and
Hamill wanted to focus on his movie career. ABC refused to release him
from his contract, thinking that having a successful movie star
connected with the show would help "Eight is Enough" (1976). Hamill was
then in a car crash in December 1976 and injured his face. This made him
unavailable for shooting the TV series, and ABC was forced to recast
the role of David, which then went to Grant Goodeve.
Has actually played two roles in the Star Wars trilogy. That's Mark's
voice on the P.A. system announcing that "The first transport is away,"
in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back-The Special Edition
(1997).
He has played the same character (the Joker)
on seven different television series: "Batman" (1992), "Superman" (1996), "The New Batman Adventures" (1997), "Static Shock" (2000), "Justice League" (2001), "Birds of Prey" (2002) and "Robot Chicken" (2005). And quite frankly  I  think he is an ultimate badass as the Joker!
He has even been on The Muppet Show!
Oh yeah my  little sister used to  be in LOVE  with him too....lol...oh she is going to  kill me for telling that.
We both watched Empire Strikes Back every Sunday for almost 4 years...and yes, THAT means I  have been a Fanboy  for a long time!
We all know him as Luke Skywalker, but Hamill has delighted Fanboys  the world over lending his voice to  such  shows as:
–
Mr. Medicinal
(2010)
…
Grant
(voice)
The New Woody Woodpecker Show
 (TV series)
Buzz Buzzard / Badger

2009
Afro Samurai: Resurrection
 (TV movie)
Bin (voice: English version) / Oden Shop Master (voice: English version)

Avatar: The Last Airbender (TV series)

 Fire Lord Ozai

Phoenix King Ozai**
as well as The Simpsons....(of course)
* and no Mark Hamil is indeed NOT related to  Dorothy Hamil....sheesh get a grip Fanboy, I  was just  kidding!
**I  had no idea that he played Firelord Ozai,
damn, I  LOVE that  show....too bad the live-action film STUNK ON ICE.... but that  is a rant for another time!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK RICHARD HAMILL! AND MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU, ALWAYS....
Is it me or is he starting to  look more and more like Obi-Wan?
