"So is this gonna be a standup fight or another bug hunt?" Sequels. Reboots, and Re-Releases....Part Two!

Ridley Scott's Alien prequel....no longer an Alien prequel.....?

The project has morphed into an original sci-fi movie entitled Prometheus, with 'strands of Alien's DNA'

Well, it seems as if there is no longer an Alien prequel. What started out as a film expanding the backstory of Ridley Scott‘s 1979 sci-fi-thriller-monster movie masterpiece has become something else. 20th Century Fox has officially announced Prometheus, which will star Noomi Rapace as Elizabeth Shaw, and open on March 9, 2012.

Reports that the film once meant to be an Alien prequel has become something “more original,” and that the Jon Spaihts draft that kicked things off has been reworked by Damon Lindelof and Ridley Scott into Prometheus. In addition to the part being played by Noomi Rapace (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) there is another big female role in the film, which is being circled by Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie. Three major male roles have to be cast, too.

I  like Ridley Scott and I  LOVED ALIEN and ALIENS, two awesum movies! I  am kinda glad that this is supposedly no longer a "prequel", but even if it was I  have faith in Scott's ability  to  produce a great  film.  I  honestly  don't think that even if PROMETHEUS was going to  be a prequel that it would still  be an awesum film. I don't think that it will  have any actors that have no real acting ability, just  because they  look  good or are the "HOT" actor/actress (ie: Halle Berry/Megan Fox...yes, i  said Halle Berry, I  don't care what awards she has won, the woman cannot act  her way out of a wet paper bag and DEFINITELY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CAST AS STORM AND I  WONT EVEN MENTION CATWOMAN........sorry, kinda got on a geek rant.... I  am fine now ) or stupid/racist CGI  characters in it to  attempt  to  appeal to a wider audience (or whatever the hell  George Lucas was thinking....yes, I  am talking about THAT again...sorry, ranting over.....for now) As long as Scott sticks to the original formula it should be spectacular.. The first  two ALIEN movies are classics!

But if he sells us Fanboys out, i  suppose I  will  be saying this....

Now what I  think Ridley Scott SHOULD make a prequel or maybe better  yet a sequel of is the movie LEGEND!
What is light without DARRRRRKKK?
Darkness seeks to create eternal night by destroying the last of the unicorns, the source of all goodness and light Without Unicorns, Darkness can rule the universe with the power of their allocorns (the horn of the unicorn, the single spiral reaching like an antenna straight  to heaven!) With the unknowing aide of Lilly, a princess who accidentally helps to trap the unicorns. But  alas falls in LOVE with Lilly and tries to make her his bride.(which will prove to be his undoing) Lilly's  true love, Jack, teams up  with the other "forest children", Honeythorn Gump, Screwball, Brown Tom, and Oona to defeat  Darkness and restore light to the world.

Two different versions of this picture feature soundtracks by either Tangerine Dream or Jerry Goldsmith. Written by Keith Loh <loh@sfu.ca>
First off, the Tangerine Dream soundtrack is the best hands down. I t adds a real ethereal , fairytale-like atmosphere to the film....but the content of the other version does flow better and adds more to the story.

So maybe a sequel to this film? I mean it was left open, and to  quote Darkness, "I am a part of you  all! You can never defeat me. We are Brothers.....Eternal!" And the end of the movie shows him laughing so why  not have him come back and attempt to get  revenge by  corrupting the offspring of Jack and Lilly?  I mean  you CAN'T REALLY  replace Tim Curry as Darkness. But if you  were to do so... I  think that
Michael Fassbender
(Magneto in the superhero film X-Men: First Class (2011).)would be a good choice.

And Joseph Gordon-Levitt(500 Days
of Summer) is like Fanboy Gold lately, perhaps he could play Jack and Lilly's son and

Mila Kunis (Family Guy) their daughter (twins maybe?)

And maybe Jessica Lowndes (90210)
could play an evil temptress, a minion of Darkness. She looks like  she could play the evil bitch role...but maybe eat a few sandwiches first tho...beef her up some.

Tim Curry is just  a badass!

oh yeah I  nearly forgot, if you  knew that Robert Picardo (Star Trek Voyager) played Meg Mucklebones....omg, you  ARE such a Fanboy!

"Life, uh, finds a way...." SEQUELS,REBOOTS, AND RE-RELEASES....part one.

"Ian was right, Life found a way..." and apparently so  does HOLLYWOOD in making sequels to  movies. I  mean rumor had it the the Friday the 13th franchise had/has actually 13 scripts written. And look at the success of the STAR WARS and STAR TREK movies...(even though Star Trek is just the continuing journey to seek out  new life and new civilizations.  TO BOLDLY  GO WHERE NO ONE HAS GONE BEFORE!!!......sorry, kinda geeked  out for a sec) Oh, and don't worry, I  will  be making a comment  about the STAR WARS re-release blue-ray thing....

"What  do they  got in there KING KONG?"

JURASSIC PARK 4
At the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con, Spielberg confirmed that preparations for Jurassic Park 4 were in progress, with a story ready and a script being written. Spielberg said that it would be possibly released "within the next two or three years" with a representative from Universal saying 2013 would be the preferred deadline for completion.

Jurassic Park
Huge advancements in scientific technology have been able to create an island full of living dinosaurs. John Hammond has invited four individuals, plus his two grandchildren to join him at Jurassic Park. But will everything go to plan? Especially when one of the parks own workers attempt to steal the dinosaurs embryos, and have to shut down all the electricity in the process. It's now a race for survival with everyone located all over the island.

Ok now it is no secret that  Jurassic Park is indeed one of my fav movies! I  have probably  seen it over 200 times. (and yes if YOU  have seen any sci-fi/fantasy movie that  many  times...YOU my  friend are indeed a Fanboy!)  Some of the lines from that  movie are indeed classic (most  are by Jeff Goldblum/Ian Malcom)
(just  one of many!...;-))

Okay., question? how the bloody hell are we going to  pull this off without being a cheesefest?? it is rumoured that  Jeff Goldblum's charater  will  be returnming. There is  NO WAY you are getting Alan Grant (Sam Niel)  back  on the island; hell ya had to  bop him in the head to  get  him in the last  movie! Sam Jackson was eaten by  velociraptors. I  sincerely  doubt Laura Derm  will  be coming back. Dr Hammond (Richard Attenborough) seemed as if he might be dying in the last  film. Nedry (Wayne Knight)  was eaten by a dilophosaurus....and so on and so on... I  mean there are stilll things that  can be done i  suppose, like all the kids from JP1, 2, and 3(who would be grown up now)  could be getting together to do get Dr Hammond a new cane or something...I  dunno.
Yes I  will  most  like be first  in line to  see it when it comes  out. I  DID in fact see Jurassic Park 10 times at the theatre when it  first  came out. I  just  hope the  make the dinosaurs a  bit MORE realistic. The first  movies was indeed breathtakingly  awesum! But by the third, the spinosaurus egypticus seemed a bit stiff to me and and not as animated as the t-rex from the previous films.
Also, as much as I  enjoyed this particular scene from Jurassic Park the Lost World, no more cheesey shots of Japanese tourists running from the dinosaurs.

And don't try  to  pull a George Lucas and "appeal" to a "wider audience" by  putting somethimg cutesy-wutsey in it, or threaten to  put Justin Bieber or 'Lil Wayne or one of those Twilight movie people in the  next  film...unless they  get  eaten withing the first  ten minutes!...;-) Stick  to the original damn formula!

Oh, and if you  have seen Twilight more than 200 times,  you are NOT a Fanboy, just a fan a very bad movies, ew.

SHOWS YOU SHOULD BE WATCHING, Spotlight on: MISFITS

Misfits is a British science fiction comedy-drama television series about a group of young offenders forced to work in a community service programme, where they obtain supernatural powers after a strange electrical storm. The first series started broadcasting on 12 November 2009 on E4, and was produced by Clerkenwell Films.
It  kinda reminds me of  the U.S. Show from 1985, Misfits of Science; only a UK version. So yes, there is a lot  of "harsh" language and  some intense sexually content, but  it isnt  gratuitous. It actually fits in with the theme of the show.
Mockney chav Kelly (Lauren Socha) can suddenly hear people’s thoughts, shamed sporting hero Curtis (Nathan Stewart Jarrett) can "undo" the last few moments in time, and party girl Alisha (Antonia Thomas) can send people into a sexual frenzy when they touch her skin. Even painfully shy Simon (Iwan Rheon) can make himself invisible when he feels he’s being ignored. Seemingly left unaffected is smart alec Nathan (Robert Sheehan). He is thus the only one of the group that initially seems to want a power, if only because he can't stomach the idea of others having what he does not.
Unlike more traditional comic book superheroes, then, the titular Misfits" don't revel in their newfound abilities and instantly become honour-bound crime fighters. Instead, they initially see their powers as burdens that have only made their lives worse. Although Curtis used his power to save Kelly's life and possibly his own and the other Misfit's, so Curtis may begin to see his power as a god send.

Nathan Stewart-Jarrett plays Curtis:
A rising sports star, who had been aiming to compete in the 2012 Olympics However, his career is left in tatters after being caught with an illegal substance and made an example of in the eyes of the law. He is forced to trade his tracksuit for a jumpsuit and take part in Community Payback. Curtis's special power is time manipulation; he is able to rewind and replay past events to affect their outcome.Okay, yeah, the "brother" is of course the sports star, but they  don't dwell upon it. It  isn't the main focus of who  the character is. Yeah he is athletic but he isn't  always carrying a basketball or something like that. Not  self-centered, or "jive", or possessing a "fresh Prince or Bel Aire -like swagger/attitude. He's not at all ghetto (at  least  by  American standars) His character is probably the most  compassionate of the lot.

Lauren Socha plays Kelly:
The stereotypical Chav with a volatile temper.(A chav (pronounced /ˈtʃæv/ chav) is a stereotype of certain people in the United Kingdom. Also known as a charver in Yorkshire and North East England[1] "chavs" are said to be aggressive teenagers and young adults, of working class background, who repeatedly engage in anti-social behaviour such as street drinking, drug abuse and rowdiness, or other forms of juvenile delinquency .)After the storm strikes, Kelly soon discovers that she has been gifted with the ability of telepathy, which means that anyone that makes a snap judgement on Kelly’s appearance is more than likely to get a head-butt. She is kind of like a young, British Jean Grey with a ghetto attitude. (at  first she just starts to  hear other people's thoughts an cant  control it) I  will  admit at  first  it is a lil' difficult to understand some of the slang, and her accent  is heavy; but you  definitely feel  for her and her issues before and after  she gets her powers.

Robert Sheehan plays Nathan:

A quick-witted, cocky and  Irishman although, beneath this brash veneer, he isn’t as emotionally untouchable as he makes out. Despite being caught in the storm with the rest of the gang, and much to his annoyance, In season 1 Nathan appears to be the only Misfit without a superpower. This doesn’t stop him trying to find out what his power is in a series of more and more outlandish tests. However in the title sequence Nathan seems to have a Wolf's Shadow following him so that may hint at a Shape-shifting power or ability. His sense of social justice and democratic spirit however is stronger than the other misfits. He also has problems at home with his mother and her boyfriend. (who also get  affected by the mysterious lightning storm) I can sum his character  up in two words: "bloody wanker!"...lol He is indeed brash,  rude, crude, annoying, looks like Shia "The Beef" La Beouf; but he grows on you. Even with all  his insults and innuendos, he is another character  that you can definitely feel for. Beneeth all the arrogance is a scared, sad, lonely  kid. And it turns out that his superpower that he is effectively immortal and can interact with the recently deceased.

Antonia Thomas plays Alisha:

A party girl who uses her looks and smile to wrap men around her little finger. She develops the ability to affect the thoughts of others by putting them into a deep state of lust when they come into contact with her skin. The is the pretty, lonely girl who has used sex to get  what  she wants most of her adult life cause she feels; why else would anyone care about her. So when  she actually  finds real love with Curtis her powers backfire, cause even he is vulnerable to her powers that causes overwhelming sexual arousal in people with whom she makes skin-to-skin contact. She is kinda like ROGUE from the X-Men.

Iwan Rheon plays Simon:

A shy social outcast who was ignored and bullied at school. He may have been given community service for arson. Simon lacks the confidence to develop relationships, to make friends or to lead a normal life. His special power is invisibility when he is ignored, a popular character device in superhero fiction. He is alreaddy  invisible to everyone so his powers are a manifestation of it. He has a a overwhemling willing to  please and to  make friends....to a fault. And he has a dar side to him, bust  just  wants to  be seen, and accepted.

The show also  reminds me of the theme of  most of the heroes from the Milestone/DC Comics characters, from the "BIG BANG" Like Static, and Blood Syndicate. All of their powers seem to stem from there desires. Curtis wishes he could turn back time to  correct  a mistake, Alisha, just  wants  to  be loved, Nathan wants to  be invulnerable so  he cant be hurt again, Kelly  wants to  know what  people are really  thinking about her, and Simon just  wants to  be seen.

GHOST RIDER 2: SPIRIT of VENGANCE...a Fanboys first look...

As Johnny Blaze hides out in Eastern Europe, he is called upon to stop the devil, who is trying to take human form.

Now when the first  Ghost Rider came out  I  was super excited in true geeky Fanboy style. Even though Nic Cage was going to be Johny Blaze/Ghost Rider, I  was still optimistic......Needless to  say  I  was quickly brought back  to  reality watching Nic Cage's 'humdrum"
performance and portrayal of Johny Blaze (cause let's face it the Ghost Rider himself was CGI which is the only thing that saved this movie) How does Nic still  get  work? I  mean we all respect and revere the cult classic  Raising Arizona (1987).
Ghost Rider/Johny Blaze was my very  first  fav Marvel comic as a kid. The character of Johny  Blaze  was not a slow talking seemingly stoned or drunk dullard! Reading the book, he honestly comes off as being rather intelligent. Nic Cage seemed half asleep most  of the time. This is the same guy  who  wanted to  be the new Superman....(I have said it before, NO ONE wants to  see a balding, big nosed Superman!)  Outside of the CGI effects the only other saving grace of this movie was (no NOT Eva Mendes) Sam Elliott; who played Carter Slade, the old West Ghost Rider.

And aparently Sam isnt even going to  be in this one! WHAT THE HELL  SONNY?!? Everyone agrees one of the best parts of the film was the two Riders in the desert.
We also thought the sequel was going to  be about Carter Slade/Ghost Rider.

Okay, enough Nic Cage bashing. I  mean i could devote an entire website to THAT  alone! I  DO  like the look of the Ghost Rider this time. It's a more classic look like from the comic, not so  much 'supernatural bling' with the chains and the spikes, and the funky looking bike. Now i  am not knocking that look, i am just  saying that  I  am digging this classic look a little better. This is the character that  I  grew up  with.

Apparently in this film he is a much darker character, much  like the original comic character. Just  so  long as Nic wakes the **** up in this one!

Well take a peek at the trailer and judge for yourselves...

And yeah, I  know at the end of the clip it looks like Ghost Rider is peeing fire....lol

The ULTIMATE FANBOY PROPOSAL....and yet another reason Patrick Stewart is F*****G AWESUM!

This is by  far  a Fanboy's dream come true. A Fanboy  getting married to a pretty girl, (who clearly  supports his Fanboyness by even setting foot at at  Star Trek  convention) but to get the approval/blessing of Sir Patrick Stewart himself!  This brave young man has gone where NO ONE has gone before....(at lest  to  MY  knowledge) I  am not sure which is more exciting the actual  wedding or this  proposal!
At any rate..."WARP ONE ENGAGED!"

'MUPPETS: The Green Album'

First  Listen on NPR.

August 14, 2011
Growing up in the '70s and '80s, I made a promise to myself to never forget what it felt like to be a kid. In a confusing world run by adults, the wonder and innocence of youth seemed like salvation. Of course, as the years ticked by, whatever magic or joy I found in childhood things eventually faded and gave way to the shadow of inevitable middle age.
Fortunately, we have the occasional keepsake to remind us of everything we forgot. Muppets: The Green Album, a new collection of Muppet songs covered lovingly by Andrew Bird, My Morning Jacket and other artists, provides one of those reminders. Hearing it for the first time ignited a heady rush of blithesome memories and emotions I'd not recalled or felt in years.
Alice Cooper performs on The Muppet Show in 1978.
Source: YouTube
During The Muppet Show's five-year run on CBS from 1976 to 1981 — and in a half-dozen movie spin-offs — Kermit, Miss Piggy and a large cast of other beloved characters romped through a world without cynicism, where it was safe to love silly things with all your heart. They invited anyone to join them, and in return offered a gateway to many wondrous things for kids: a gateway to comedy and pop culture, to our earliest understanding of human relationships and, perhaps most of all, a gateway to music. Everyone from Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne to Stevie Wonder, Liza Minnelli and pianist Victor Borge made guest appearances on The Muppet Show, introducing kids to heavy metal, soul, funk, jazz and classical music.
The Green Album, out August 23, sticks to songs written specifically for or performed by the Muppets, and culls from a deep catalog of fan favorites.
OK Go kicks off the mix appropriately with a trippy, extended version of the Muppet Show theme song, the one that hails "the most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational" show on earth.

Weezer and Hayley Williams of Paramore trade verses in a wistful version of "Rainbow Connection." Andrew Bird's whistling and string arrangements reach well into the heart of "Bein' Green." And Rachael Yamagata's version of "I'm Going to Go Back There Some Day," a song I'd long forgotten, brought tears to my eyes.

In the 20 years since Muppets creator Jim Henson died, the program and characters have fallen on hard times. The original show is long gone, more recent Muppet movies have gone straight to DVD, and many of the characters people in my generation grew up with have been gathering dust. But The Green Album — and a new Muppet movie written by Jason Segel, with songs by Flight of the Conchords' Bret McKenzie, due in November — shows there's still a lot of love for Fozzie Bear and the rest of the gang. The kids who grew up with them are now adults and want to give back. We live in cynical times, but listening to The Green Album is a nice reminder of the joy and beauty that remains.

Underrated Cartoons...

8 cartoons  that are  definitely  underrated as far  as their content, and ingenuity, and impact  on other cartoons...

8. BIKER MICE FROM MARS
created by Rick Ungar that began airing in 1993 in the United States and lasted for three seasons before it was cancelled. It is about three anthropomorphic mice motorcyclists named Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie who escaped a war on their home planet Mars. And the plot tones of the episodes individually all range from dark and serious to light hearted and comedic, but they all follow the three main characters on their task to defend the Earth from the evil that destroyed their home's land, The Plutarkians and to one day return to Mars. No blood is shown, no Guns or other illegal weapon use are used and many villains are monsters, aliens, and robots. . The Series successfully exhibits the action of the fighting scenes to avoid violent content censorship.

Also  it gave Ian Ziering a gig to  be known for other than  Beverly  Hills 90210! ( the voice of Vinnie)

7. EXO-SQUAD
created by Universal Cartoon Studios as a response to Japanese anime. The show is set in the beginning of the 22nd century and covers the interplanetary war between humanity and Neosapiens, a fictional race artificially created as workers/slaves for the Terrans. The narration generally follows Able Squad, an elite Terran unit of soldiers who  pilot Exo-Suits called E-Frames. The series ran for two complete seasons on USA Network and Fox, from September 1993 to November 1994.
The series is set in the years 2119–2121 AD,several decades after humanity ("Terrans") has expanded its presence beyond Earth, terraforming and colonizing Venus and Mars.  Not all Terrans are affiliated with the Homeworlds, however: the Pirate Clans, descendants of Terran criminals exiled to the Outer Planets who live off looted Homeworlds' space freighters, are a major independent faction in the show.
The two seasons that the series was on the air follow the progress of the Neosapien War, as seen through the eyes of Able Squad, an elite E-frame unit, composed of J.T. Marsh, Nara Burns, Maggie Weston, Kaz Takagi, Alec DeLeon, Rita Torres, Wolf Bronsky, and Marsala.(a Neosapian) Their exploits unfold against the backdrop of the on-going war, as the squad participates in events often crucial to turning its tide. The show features a realistic outlook on war: many characters die in combat, military operations are carefully planned and reconnoitered in advance, and psychological effects of warfare are explored.  several episodes deal with the remaining Venusian resistance and Neosapien forces who hid across Venus, refusing to surrender and awaiting reinforcements.
The second season draws to a close with the defeat of the Neosapiens and the liberation of Earth, but it ends with a cliffhanger suggesting that a third season would describe a war against a new alien race, and that the Terrans and the Neosapiens would be forced to ally with each other. However, the series was cancelled soon after the end of the second season so a third season was never made.

A cartoon that deals with war, race relations, labor relations, and a white guy  with lines in his fade...how can you  not dig this show!

6. C.O.P.S.
Central Organization of Police Specialists "Fighting crime("whoosh") in a future time" is an American animated television series released by DIC Entertainment (distributed by Claster Television) and Celebrity Home Entertainment This cartoon ran from 1988–1989,
The year: 2020. The place: Empire City. The situation: Brandon “Big Boss” Babel (along with his gang of crooks) is holding the entire city under the palm of his iron hand and the Empire City Police Department can do nothing to stop him. As a last resort, Mayor Davis sends in Special Agent Baldwin P. Vess (Codename: Bulletproof) to take him down. However, Bulletproof suffered very serious injuries in a car wreck during a fight with Big Boss' criminal henchmen and had to be taken to the hospital, where he is given a cybernetic bullet-resistant torso to save his life as it would take years for his torso to recover.
While staying at the hospital, Bulletproof, knowing he cannot do all of this alone, sends out Police Officer P.J. O'Malley (Codename: LongArm) and rookie Officer Donny Brooks (Codename: HardTop) to round up the best law enforcers from all over the country. With these men and women — including David E. "Highway" Harlson, Colt "Mace" Howards, Stan "Barricade" Hyde, Tina "Mainframe" Cassidy, Walker "Sundown" Calhoun, Suzie "Mirage" Young, Hugh S. "Bullseye" Forward, and Rex "Bowser" Pointer and his robot dog, Blitz — he forms a team that is “the finest law enforcement agency there is in the country.” Bulletproof becomes the proud founder and commander of C.O.P.S.
Each episode has a title that begins with “The Case of…” with a different phrase being added to it (i.e. “The Case of the Iron C.O.P.S. and Wooden CROOKS”; “The Case of the Half-Pint Hero”; and “The Case of the Crime Nobody Heard”) along with the C.O.P.S. file number. Bulletproof would narrate at the beginning of the episode as well as the end, concluding by repeating the C.O.P.S. file number and title, ending it with “Case Closed” with an “Closed” mark being stamped onto the file folder.

This one is for  you  Br@ndX......"It's crime fighting time!"

5. Johhny Quest
A1964-65 television series about a boy named Jonny Quest who accompanies his father on extraordinary adventures. Probably  one of the only  cartoons whose intro featured people actually getting shot at  and killed!  The Adventures of Jonny Quest – is the original American science fiction/adventure animated television series that started the franchise. It was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions for Screen Gems.
Inspired by radio serials and comics in the action-adventure genre, it featured more realistic art, characters, and stories than Hanna-Barbera's previous cartoon programs. It was the first of several Hanna-Barbera action-based adventure shows – which would later include Space Ghost, The Herculoids, and Birdman and the Galaxy Trio – and ran on ABC in prime time on early Friday nights for one season in 1964–1965.

Still the first and  only  cartoon outside of anything on  Adult Swim that  featured guys getting shot at  an killed  IN the title sequence! And rumor has it that Johnny Quest  will  be made into  a live-action film  soon featuring  Dwayne "The ROCK" Johnson as Race Bannon!

4. Bionic Six
Bionic Six is an American/Japanese animated television series from 1987, produced by TMS Entertainment and distributed by MCA TV (now NBCUniversal Television Distribution). Renowned Japanese animation director Osamu Dezaki was involved as chief supervising director, whose distinctive style (Golgo 13, Cobra) is evident throughout.

The title characters of the series are a family of machine-enhanced human beings possessing unique powers after being augmented with bionic technology, much like The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman. After a skiing vacation accident involving an alien radiation source renders Bennett family members comatose, Professor Amadeus Sharp deduces that bionic augmentation would nullify the effects of the radioactivity. Each family member is thereafter given a specific bionic power, and thus they form a superhero team named Bionic Six. Aside from the fact that they  made the the Asian character a martial arts expert (what  I  like to  call the KATO effect...lol) the show was really  cool in the fact that   you  had   all these  kids from different races all  working together. Yes, i  know it may  sound cheesy but  I  like shows showing that  we all CAN get  along...lol

",,,they're so  very  proud to  be....a super future  family..."

3.Reboot
3. ReBoot is a Canadian CGI-animated action-adventure cartoon series that originally aired from 1994 to 2001. It was produced by Vancouver-based production company Mainframe Entertainment, Alliance Communications, BLT Productions and created by Gavin Blair, Ian Pearson, Phil Mitchell and John Grace, with the visuals designed by Brendan McCarthy after an initial attempt by Ian Gibson.

It was the first half-hour, completely computer-animated TV series.
Reruns of the series can be seen in Canada on Teletoon Retro.
The setting is in the inner world of a computer system known by its inhabitants as Mainframe. The first season of ReBoot was highly episodic, with each installment being a self-contained episode (except for the two part finale). Most of the episodes established characters, locations, and story elements, such as the gigantic game cubes. When The User loads a game, a game cube drops on a random location in Mainframe, sealing it off from the rest of the system and turning it into a gamescape. Bob frequently enters the games, reboots to become a game character, and fights the User's character to save the sector. If the User wins a game, the sector the cube fell in is destroyed, and the sprites and binomes who were caught within are turned into energy-draining, worm-like parasites called nulls. Within the series it is never clear if there is a "cure" or reversal for degrading to a null. The season also established the characters Hexadecimal and Megabyte who were two viruses and were primary antagonists in most of the episodes in the season.

Leave it to  Canada....Aside from the fact that the animation technology  was awesomely  ground breaking.  it probably  gave some preliminary  ideas to the creators of The MATRIX.

And the villans....Megabyte was definately  diabolical......

But Hexadicimal was downright scary!

2. Dave the Barbarian is an American animated television series created by Doug Langdale that premiered on January 23, 2004 on Disney Channel and ended on January 22, 2005. Continuing to air in other countries after the show ended, the show follows a barbarian named Dave, his sisters, uncle and pet dragon on their daily adventures. The show is a Disney Channel Original Series.
The series takes place in the Middle Ages, and centers on a powerful yet cowardly barbarian named Dave who lives in the fictitious land of Udrogoth along with his older sister Candy and younger sister Fang. His parents, Throktar and Glimia, are the King and Queen, but are away "fighting evil" across the world (though they sometimes communicate via a magic crystal ball or cauldron), and have left Candy in charge of the kingdom while Dave is supposed to defend the kingdom (since he is the biggest). Together the three siblings, along with their "wizard" uncle Oswidge, are left to run and protect the kingdom.
There is a Narrator, referred to either as "the Narrator" or "the Storyteller." He is able to talk to the characters of the show, and vice versa. In fact, he was once captured by The Dark Lord Chuckles the Silly Piggy, and was forced to tell the story from his kidnapper's commands.

If Conan and Captain Caveman had a kid, it would be Dave!

Pajabbers!

1. Gargoyles
Gargoyles is an American animated series created by Greg Weisman. It was produced by Greg Weisman and Frank Paur and aired from October 24, 1994 to February 15, 1997.
Gargoyles is known for its dark tone, complex story arcs and melodrama. Character arcs were heavily employed throughout the series, and as the series progressed, it became deeply influenced by medieval Scottish history (and ye know what they  say...."if it isn't Scottish, it CRAP!"...lol)and Shakespeare's Macbeth and A Midsummer Night's Dream

The voice cast featured several actors who are alumni of the Star Trek franchise including Marina Sirtis and Jonathan Frakes (respectively, Deanna Troi and William Riker on Star Trek: The Next Generation), who were featured regularly as principal cast members. Other Star Trek actors such as Michael Dorn (Worf on TNG), Brent Spiner (Data on TNG), Colm Meaney (Miles O’Brien on TNG and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge on NG), Nichelle Nichols (Uhura on Star Trek: The Original Series), Avery Brooks (Benjamin Sisko on DS9), Paul Winfield (Clark Terrell in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan), David Warner (various characters, most notably Gul Madred in "Chain of Command", a two-part episode of TNG) and Kate Mulgrew ((Kathryn Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager) were guest or recurring stars in the series.
Almost a complete fiasco as Disney  originally  wanted to  create a show with cutesy-wutsey Gargoyles.  So thank  GOD they  did not go that  direction. Instead they  created an awesum show, that  again deals with the dynamic of race and discrimination and eliminating those lines. Some of the episode blocks could have easily  be  made into big screen movies. Plus you had most  of the Star Trek TNG cast doing the voices on the show!
